The Anti Corruption Commission says the SADC protocol against corruption will help prevent and eradicate corruption in the public and private sector in Zambia.

The Anti Corruption Commission says the SADC protocol against corruption will help prevent and eradicate corruption in the public and private sector in Zambia.

ACC Director General, Kapetwa Phiri says the Protocal will help promote and regulate cooperation not only in zambia but among the state parties in the region.

Speaking in South Africa after attending a SADC Anti Corruption Sub- Committee Meeting in Angola, Mr Kapetwa said this will also Ensure that effectiveness of Measures and actions to curb corruption were implemented adequately.

He hoped that the achievement of the objectives will be drawn by ratification and domestication of the SADC protocol against corruption and other relevant international, continental and regional legal instruments against corruption.

He added that SADC Member States will collaborate in the achievement of the relevant objectives of International ,Continental,and Regional Agreements against Corruption.

He said Zambia will adopt and enhance information sharing with the Member States from SADC Meetings on corruption which will be used in national policies in the fight against Corruption.

Zambia is among the SADC countries that Signed the agreements of the protocol on politics, Defence Security cooperation and the protocol against Corruption.
